Abstract

This paper analyzes the modern methods and devices of testing the thickness of non-conductive coatings on conductive base. Describes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and conditions for application of the basic methods of testing of coating thickness. Installed application prospects of the eddy-current method. Describes the theoretical basis of the principle of eddy-current method of testing of coating thickness. The operational principle of eddy-current inspection method. The eddy-current method allows of testing as a non-ferromagnetic and so ferromagnetic products. Three main methods that should be used to testing the thickness of the coatings. Eddy-current converters and considered ways to connect them. This paper describes the classification eddy-current transducers and connection method of eddy-current transducers. Shows the need for a transformer compensated converters and research their options.
