Національна культура versus глобалізація: українські реалії ХХІ ст.

Abstract

Для культури питання глобалізації є складним, адже веде до зближення культур різних народів та таких явищ як уніфікація, вестерналізація, асиміляція, культурна експансія. Особливо актуальним є подолання негативних проявів глобалізації для України, яка після отримання незалежності потребує окреслення своєї особливості та унікальності.This study focuses on Ukrainian culture as being situated at the junction of processes of national cultural revival after Ukraine gained independence on the one hand, and the processes of globalization and unification on the other hand. The author makes a particular emphasis on the immediate connection between national culture and national identity. The problem field of existence of Ukrainian national culture under conditions of contemporary globalization receives a new conception in the realities of Ukrainian history in 2013 – early 2015. Under the influence of this reality the concept of creation of integral national cultural space in Ukraine not only is renovated but also becomes one of the major alternates of understanding the national idea and a high-priority practical task for Ukrainians.
