Abstract

This article describes the cutting tool diagnosing problems during milling. Found that, all the existing systems of tool diagnosing are the most promising system constructed based on indirect methods, due to the possibility of continuous monitoring of cutting tool during cutting. Also, little attention is paid to the diagnosis of the state of the cutting tool during finishing and fine milling. It is shown that, the main problems in the construction of modern systems of cutting tools diagnostics for milling are the choice of the primary sensors, which have a wide measurement range and high sensitivity, as well as the construction of high-speed systems, the decision on the evaluation of wear with high reliability.
