Abstract

NeQuick model allows to calculate the altitude profiles of the electron density for any point of the globe in a wide range of altitudes at any time. Analytical formulas for the description of the separated E, F1, F2 layers are applied in the construction of electron density profile for whole altitude region. The formula parameters used previously calculated the values of electron density and height of the layer peaks. The insufficient correctness of algorithmization results in some inaccuracies of construction of electron density profile in E, F1 regions. For example, when calculating of the daily variations of the electron density at the times corresponding to the appearance or disappearance of layer F1, there are time discontinuities. There are made an example of the daily variation of the electron density profile and the analysis of discontinuity causes.
