Анотація
У статті проаналізовано професіональну діяльність інженера-програміста відносно соціального запиту до якості його фахової підготовки. Розглянуто вплив інформаційних технологій на різні сфери суспільного виробництва і компетенції сучасного фахівця будь-якої сфери. Названо причини популярності професії інженера-програміста, а також зростання потреби у хороших фахівцях цієї професії. Аналіз наукових праць свідчить про те, що актуальним завданням сучасної вищої освіти є підвищення якості професійної підготовки майбутніх інженерів-програмістів.
A programmer engineer professional activity as a social demand for the quality of his professional training is analyzed in the paper. The influence of information technologies on the development of different manufacturing sectors as well as on modern specialists’ competencies is presented also. The advances in science and technologies make demand for highly qualified programmers engineer. The overview on programmers’ duties and tasks is given. That implies that his professional training is to be directed to the mathematical abilities and algorithmic thinking building, expertise, knowledge and skills on programming languages, and many other necessary abilities. The profile of a typical programmer is given. The research of the reasons of programmer’s profession popularity in Ukraine and the world is carried out. The number of applicants to the information technologies departments shows the tendency to grow but it does not meet the demand for competent programmers. The reasons of these employees’ scarcity are considered. It is assumed to be a world-wide tendency that is connected with the development of information technologies and, correspondingly, with the demand for skilled specialists. One more reason for this is Ukrainian labor market problem, namely emigration of highly qualified specialists. These problems are presented to be similar to many European countries. The modern society is shown to make an enquiry to higher institutions as for professional training of future programmers engineer. The employers claim that it is a problem to hire a good specialist to meet their requirements, that is to say the problem of programmer shortage is not a quantitative, but qualitative one. Finally, the conclusion is made as to the relevant objective of modern higher technical education – to raise the quality of professional training of future programmer engineers. So the improvement of professional training of future programmer engineers in higher educational establishments is considered to be one of the crucial tasks of pedagogical theory and practice.
