Кафедра "Автоматика та управління в технічних системах" виділилася в самостійну одиницю у складі електромеханічного факультету Харківського електротехнічного інституту в 1948 році з кафедри "Електричні апарати". У момент створення вона мала назву Кафедра "Автоматика і телемеханіка". Першим завідувачем кафедри став кандидат технічних наук, доцент Файвель Аронович Ступель.
За роки свого існування кафедра випустила понад 3500 фахівців.
Кафедра входить до складу Навчально-наукового інституту комп'ютерного моделювання, прикладної фізики та математики Національного технічного університету "Харківський політехнічний інститут".
У складі науково-педагогічного колективу кафедри працюють 1 доктор технічних наук, 9 кандидатів технічних наук; 1 співробітник має звання професора, 7 – звання доцента.

This algorithm is one of the most effective in the field of impulse noise suppression. The computational complexity and algorithmic features of this adaptive nonlinear filter make it impossible to implement a filter that works in real time on modern PLD microcircuits. The most problematic areas of the algorithm are the weight coefficient estimation cycle, which has no limit on the number of iterations and contains a large number of division operations. This does not allow implementing the filter on PLDs with a sufficiently effective method. In the course of the research, the programming model of the filter in Python was used. The performance of the algorithm was assessed using the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM) metrics.Modeling made it possible to find out empirically the number of iterations of the cycle for estimating the weight coefficients at different levels of noise density and to estimate the effect of artificial limitation of the maximum number of iterations on the filter performance. Regardless of the intensity of the noise impact, the algorithm performs less than 40 iterations of the evaluation cycle. Let’s also simulate the operation of the algorithm with different variants of the division module implementation. The paper considers the main of them and offers the most optimal in terms of the ratio of accuracy/hardware costs for implementation. Thus, a modified algorithm was proposed that does not have these disadvantages.Thanks to modifications of the algorithm, it is possible to implement a pipelined ASWM image filter on modern PLDs. The filter is synthesized for the main families of Intel PLDs. The implementation, which is not inferior in terms of SSIM and PSNR metrics to the original algorithm, requires less than 65,000 FPGA logical cells and allows filtering of monochrome images with FullHD resolution at 48 frames/s at a clock frequency of 100 MHz.Документ Development and simulation of the Institute of ionosphere measuring complex energy consumption(Харківський національний університет міського господарства імені О. O.The work is devoted to solving an urgent problem - the development of a computer model of the energy consumption system of the Institute of the ionosphere of the National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in order to solve the problem of increasing the energy efficiency of the measuring complex. The power supply system of the complex is described, a generalized structural diagram of the loads -powerful consumers of electricity is presented. The graphs characterizing the energy consumption of individual powerful loads are presented, the problem of compensating the reactive power of loads is shown. The adequacy of the developed model is confirmed by the coincidence of the shape and values of the experimentally obtained characteristics on loads with the characteristics of the model. The model adequacy was assessed by the variance of feedback deviations from the system mean. The results obtained confirmed the possibility of using the developed Matlab-model of the energy consumption system of the measuring complex for creating and testing on the model of an energy-efficient power supply system, which will ensure the stable operation of scientific equipment for the implementation of research programs of the NAS of Ukraine.Документ Devising a method to improve the accuracy of maintaining the preset temperature and humidity conditions at a vegetable storage facility under a food storing mode(РС Теshnology Сentеr, 2021) Kachanov, P. O.; Yevseienko, O. M.; Yevsina, N. O.A vegetable storage facility is an energy-consuming object with distributed parameters. The quality of product storage depends on the microclimate in the vegetable storage facility: current temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide level. Existing temperature controllers in a veg etable storage facility use a two-position law of control, which leads to the consumption of excess energy and product spoilage. The purpose of the study is to improve the work of the controller in the process of product storage at the storage phase due to closing the two-position controller through feedback in the form of a first-order aperiodic link. To achieve the goal, the procedure for calculating the transfer function of a control object through the equation of thermal balance was used. This procedure made it possible to take into consideration the parameters of a vegetable storage facility: the area and the type of thermal insulation material of floorings, the weight, and the type of a stored product, as well as thermal energy supplied to the vegetable storage facility.Based on the heat balance equation, the nature of the operation of controlling elements, transfer functions of a vegetable storage facility without a product, and the vegetable storage facility filled with a product, were calculated. The heat model of a vegetable storage facility was constructed in the MATLAB Simulink environment (USA) to check the algorithms of the temperature field control. The product storage for 180 days with changes in the daily temperature of outdoor air from minus 8 °C to plus 2 °C and changes in humidity from 50 % to 100 % was modeled. According to the results of modeling, it is possible to conclude that the addition of an aperiodic link to the feedback of the two-position controller will enable taking into consideration the inertia of a control object. This allows decreasing the maximum error in control of self-oscillations to 0.15 °C and decreasing the total operation time of con trolling elements by 13 %Документ Fixed-point Realisation of Fast Nonlinear Fourier Transform Algorithm for FPGA Implementation of Optical Data Processing(SPIE, 2021) Vasylchenkova, Anastasiia; Salnikov, Dmytro; Karaman, Dmytro; Vasylchenkov, Oleg; Prilepskiy, JaroslawThe nonlinear Fourier transform (NFT) based signal processing has attracted considerable attention as a promising tool for fibre nonlinearity mitigation in optical transmission. However, the mathematical complexity of NFT algorithms and the noticeable distinction of the latter from the “conventional” (Fourier-based) methods make it difficult to adapt this approach for practical applications. In our work, we demonstrate a hardware implementation of the fast direct NFT operation: it is used to map the optical signal onto its nonlinear Fourier spectrum, i.e. to demodulate the data. The main component of the algorithm is the matrix-multiplier unit, implemented on field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA) and used in our study for the estimation of required hardware resources. To design the best performing implementation in limited resources, we carry out the processing accuracy analysis to estimate the optimal bit width. The fast NFT algorithm that we analyse, is based on the FFT, which leads to the O(N log22 N) method’s complexity for the signal consisting of N samples. Our analysis revealed the significant demand in DSP blocks on the used board, which is caused by the complex-valued matrix operations and FFTs. Nevertheless, it seems to be possible to utilise further the parallelisation of our NFT-processing implementation for the more efficient NFT hardware realisation.Документ Improving the Accuracy of Temperature Control inside Dry-Air Sterilizer Oven by Using Prediction Algorithm(Centre for Environment & Socio-Economic Research Publications, 2016) Yevseienko, OlegThe article is devote to the temperature control of objects with lumped or distributive parameters. The problems of keeping a predetermined temperature are discussed. The major attention is paid to the process of maintaining the temperature inside dry-air sterilizer oven. It is shown that the temperature in insulated sterilizer chamber depends not only on the power of the heater but also on the power of the fan. V.The paper describes an algorithm of the complex automated monitoring of Ukraine’s power energy system, aimed at ensuring safety of its personnel and equipment. This monitoring involves usage of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for planned and unplanned registration status of power transmission lines (PTL) and high voltage substations (HVS). It is assumed that unscheduled overflights will be made in emergency situations on power lines. With the help of the UAV, pictures of transmission and HVS will be recorded from the air in the optical and infrared ranges, as well as strength of electric (EF) and magnetic (MF) fields will be measured along the route of flight. Usage specially developed software allows to compare the recorded pictures with pre-UAV etalon patterns corresponding to normal operation of investigated transmission lines and the HVSs. Such reference pattern together with the experimentally obtained maps of HVS’s protective grounding will be summarized in a single document – a passport of HVS and PTL. This passport must also contain the measured and calculated values of strength levels of EF and MF in the places where staff of power facilities stay as well as layout of equipment, the most vulnerable to the effects of electromagnetic interference. If necessary, as part of ongoing monitoring, recommendations will be given on the design and location of electromagnetic screens, reducing the levels of electromagnetic interference as well as on location of lightning rods, reducing probability lightning attachment to the objects. The paper presents analytic expressions, which formed the basis of the developed software for calculation of the EF strength in the vicinity of power lines. This software will be used as a base at UAV navigation along the transmission lines, as well as to detect violations in the transmission lines operation. Comparison of distributions of EF strength calculated with the help of the elaborated software with the known literature data has been presented also. The difference between the proposed method of monitoring and the existing methods is full automation of the complex control of a number of parameters characterizing the state of the external power grid facilities, as well as its basic electrical parameters. This will be possible due to usage of specially developed software for recognition of optical and infrared images, as well as pictures of lines of equal EF and MF strength.Документ Method of determining the parameters of an equivalent asynchronous electric motor in real time(Національний технічний університет "Харківський політехнічний інститут", 2018) Bederak, Yu. A.A calculation of the parameters of the equivalent asynchronous electric machine allows introducing the automated calculation of the static and dynamic stability of an electrical supply system in an industrial enterprise for any combination of different electric motors. It also ensures the electromagnetic compatibility in a network by means of calculations of nonsinusoidal mode in the network with proposed sources of higher harmonics. The research purposeis a method for accurate determination of the equivalent asynchronous machine parameters for the load node consisting of several groups of asynchronous electric motors of the same type. An algorithm block diagram for calculating the initial data is developed. The input data is the number of groups of the same motortype, the number of machinesin each group,and a vector of the engine power ratings. The polling of the counters of each engine in all groups is performed through the use of an embedded cycle. A fragment of a substation one- line scheme which feeds an electrical industrial enterprise water circuit is given: three 800 kW asynchronous machines for each pump, three 400 kW asynchronous machines and three 250 kW asynchronous machines. The calculation results for the given example of the scheme are executed and presented in the table. The data obtained show that the actual parameters of the equivalent machine in a 6 kV load node are significantly different from the averaged data. The typical difference between the results obtained by the proposed method and the available methods is 5%, and the maximum reaches 30%.Therefore, it is expedient to use accurate data when performing calculations.Документ Modeling of daily temperature mode in premises using a predictive controller(Технологический центр, 2017) Kachanov, P. O.; Yevseienko, O. M.The goal of present work is to decrease electric power consumption in a building employing the developed control method that uses a prediction filter. To accomplish this goal, a model of the premises was constructed in the ANSYS Fluent software and a PWM predictive controller was synthesized. Modeling of daily state of the premises with maintenance of assigned temperature using the predictive controller, a two-position controller and a PID-control was performed. Results of modeling demonstrate that the use of predicting controller, taking into account parameters of the building, heating and ventilation systems, outdoor air temperature with maintaining minimal permissible operating air temperature in the premises at night, at weekends and on holidays, makes it possible to save heat resources. Refusal from continuous control and transition to the PWM predictive controller demonstrated a decrease in operating time of heating equipment by 2.3 times from 24 to 10.5 hours. The proposed control method showed the best controlling accuracy equal to 5 %, compared to a two-position control with hysteresis and a PID-control.Документ Modified algorithm for searching the roots of the error locators polynominal while decoding BCH codes(Запорізький національний технічний університет, 2020) Krylova, V. In telecommunications and information systems with an increased noise component the noise-resistant cyclic BCH and Reed-Solomon codes are used. The adjustment and correcting errors in a message require some effective decoding methods. One of the stages in the procedure of decoding RS and BCH codes to determine the position of distortions is the search for the roots of the error locator polynomial. The calculation of polynomial roots, especially for codes with significant correction capacity is a laborious task requiring high computational complexity. That is why the improvement of BCH and RS codes decoding methods providing to reduce the computational complexity is an urgent task. Objective. The investigation and synthesis of the accelerated roots search algorithm of the error locator polynomial presented as an affine polynomial with coefficients in the finite fields, which allows accelerating the process of BCH and RS code decoding. Method. The classical roots search method based on the Chan’s algorithm is performed using the arithmetic of the Galois finite fields and the laborious calculation, in this case depends on the number of addition and multiplication operations. For linearized polynomials, the roots search procedure based on binary arithmetic is performed taking into account the values obtained at the previous stages of the calculation, which provides the minimum number of arithmetic operations. Results. An accelerated algorithm for calculating the values of the error locator polynomial at all points of the GF(2m) finite field for linearized polynomials based on the Berlekamp-Massey method has been developed. The algorithm contains a minimum number of addition operations, due to the use at each stage of the calculations the values obtained at the previous step, as well as the addition in the finite field GF(2). A modified roots search method for affine polynomials over the finite fields has been proposed to determine error positions in the code word while decoding the cyclic BCH and RS codes. Conclusions. The scientific newness of the work is to improve the algorithm of calculating the roots of the error locator polynomial, which coefficients belong to the elements of the finite field. At the same time it simplifies the procedure for cyclic BCH and RS codes decoding, due to reducing the computational complexity of one of the decoding stages, especially finding the error positions using the modified Berlekamp-Massey algorithm. These facts are confirmed by the simulation program results of the roots search of the error locator polynomial algorithm. A.The selection of special-form moduli and their corresponding primitive roots have been proposed, which provide for a simplified structure of arithmetic devices using number-theoretic transforms. A method for determining moduli has been developed that ensures a minimum number of arithmetic operations when performing the modulo addition and multiplication operations. The structures of special-form modulo adders have been developed and modeled, which make it possible to perform the addition operation as quickly as possible. The modulo adders for the Fermat, Mersenne, and Golomb numbers have been synthesized and tested, which could be used in the arithmetic units of high-speed correlators and filters. Real-time correlation and convolution calculation become a rather time-consuming task in the case of long input sequences. To solve this task, it is advisable to apply the so-called fast algorithms. However, this requires the high-performance calculators of convolution and correlation, which often exceed the capabilities of modern computer equipment, Therefore, the proposed procedure for determining the modulus, as well as the designed structural circuits for special-form modulo adders, make it possible to accelerate the computation of correlations and convolutions using number-theoretic transforms. Since the operation of modulo multiplication is performed using the addition and shift operations, the complexity of calculating the number-theoretic transformations largely depends on the number of unities in the binary representation of the degrees of the primitive root. The operation of multiplication is typically reduced to the multiple addition of numbers, which is why the complexity and speed performance of arithmetic devices for numeric-theoretic transformations is determined by the characteristics of the modulo adders. М.Печериці дуже популярні у всьому світі і є комерційно важливими як у країнах Європейського Союзу, так і країнах пострадянського простору. Для культивації грибів потрібні спеціальні умови, тому що печериці чутливі до температурно-вологісного режиму, деяких захворювань, рівня кисню в пові трі на різних етапах і стадіях вирощування.У статті розглядається проблема автоматизації процесу грибного вироб ництва на етапі вирощування. Обґрунтовується ідея, що підтримання необ хідного мікроклімату в приміщенні дасть змогу підвищити якість вирощу вання грибів. Метою статті є аналіз технологічного процесу вирощування печериць для створення автоматизованої системи управління мікрокліма том грибної ферми. Особливу увагу приділено опису грибної ферми як обʼєк та автоматизації. Показано можливість побудови системи керування венти ляційною установкою та процесами в приміщенні за рахунок використання програмованих реле та програмованого логічного контролера, об’єднаних в єдину мережу. Увесь процес керування вирощуванням грибів розбито на системи, управ ління якими забезпечує необхідний мікроклімат. Значна увага приділяється роз робці переліку вхідних і вихідних сигналів, вимог до програми та мнемосхеми оператора SCADA-системи, аналізу технологічного процесу вирощування. Проведений огляд літератури показав, що, незважаючи на досить велику кількість регуляторів, наразі ще не створено системи для отримання пара метрів та керування температурно-вологісними режимами грибної ферми як об’єктом з розподіленими параметрами. У подальших дослідженнях планується впровадження розробленої системи в технологічний процес вирощування грибів.
