Коксохімічна галузь забезпечує понад 25% промислового виробництва держави, дає близько 40% валютних надходжень в Україну і понад 10% надходжень до Державного бюджету. Україна є одним з лідерів серед країн-виробників чорних металів у світі. До 2008 року займала 7 місце за обсягом виробництва сталі і 3 місце — за обсягом експорту металопродукції. Україна входить до десятки найбільших виробників і експортерів металу. Понад 80% металопродукції експортується до країн Європи, Азії, Близького Сходу, Південної Америки. Технологічна модернізація сталеплавильного виробництва має на меті повну відмову від використання мартенів. Але це потребує значних коштів і чимало часу. Як приклад, Франція, яка започаткувала реконструкцію своєї металургійної галузі понад 30 років тому і протягом 10 -15 років використовує конверторне виробництво. Особливу увагу у статті було приділено дослідженню системного підходу до визначення технологічного потенціалу підприємств, узагальнено методики оцінювання інноваційного потенціалу та можливість їх застосування для категорії “інноваційно-технологічний потенціал”, проаналізовано систему показників статистичного оцінювання інноваційно -технологічного потенціалу, розроблено методичні рекомендації щодо алгоритму оцінювання інноваційно-технологічного потенціалу, виконано порівняння різних підходів до оцінювання інформаційно – комунікаційних технологій підприємств та наведено рекомендації щодо поліпшення ефективності використання технологічного потенціалу підприємств.Scientific approaches of generalization of development of cocso-chemistry industry of Ukraine, classic definitions and their features are analysed, a necessity of application of different methods is researches that is determined by the modern state of existence of industry. Cocso-chemistry industry provides more than 25% of industrial production of the state, gives about 40% of currency receivabless in the budget of Ukrai ne and more than 10% receivabless in the State budget. Ukraine is one of leaders among the countries-producers of black metals in the world. 2008 year to 7th took placeon volume steelmakings and 3th place - on volume export of metallproducts. Ukraine is included in ten of the largest producers and exporters of metal. More than 80% metallproducts is exported in the countries of Europe, Asia, Middle East, South America. Technological modernisation of steel-making production has for an object complete abandonment from the use of open-hearth furnaces. But it requires considerable facilities and quite a bit time. The special attention in the article was spared to research of approach of the systems to determination of technological potential of enterprises, generalized methodologies of estimation of innovative potential and possibility of their application for a category "innovative-technological potential", the system of indexes of statistical evaluation of innovative -technological potential is analysed.
