The study of the discipline "Fundamentals of scientific research" involves the assimilation of educational material in the time free from classroom classes in the form of an independent and individual study and research work (report), designed to form the practical skills of students in working with special literature, orient them to intensive work, critical understanding of the acquired knowledge and in-depth study of theoretical and practical problems of accounting and taxation to improve the quality of professional training of accountants for enterprises, organizations of state and private ownership. Independent work on assimilation of educational material from the discipline can be done in the library, classrooms and laboratories, at home. According to the curriculum of the discipline "Fundamentals of scientific research", 86 hours are allocated for independent work of students, 20 of them for the performance of an individual research task (report). The rational organization of independent work requires the student to skillfully divide his time between classroom and extracurricular work. Completion of tasks from independent and individual work is mandatory for every student. Methodical instructions for independent work of students include: thematic plan of the educational discipline; general recommendations for the organization of independent work on the discipline, the system of current and final control of students' knowledge; list of recommended literature. The final form of independent work is preparation for the exam.
