The analysis of its basic technologies influence on the system of higher education is performed. The following scheme of the analysis is used: essence of technologies; innovations created on their basis; the consequences of their introduction into industry, both positive and negative; problems and prospects for the development of the system of higher education. Based on the results of the analysis, problems and prospects of universities’ development in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution are highlighted.
