Визначений пріоритетний напрямок поводження з твердими побутовими відходами в Україні. Виявленi особливостi сучасного стану і тенденцій розвитку сфери переробки відходів шляхом аналізу статистичних даних та розроблено рекомендації економіко-правового забезпечення підвищення рівня використання відходів в Україні. Застосування запропонованих заходів сприятиме створенню умов для підвищення рівня інвестиційної привабливості сфери переробки відходів в Україні.There have been analyzed methods of processing of municipal solid waste, their advantages, disadvantages and conditions of implementation in Ukraine. There have been identified the priority direction of municipal solid waste management in Ukraine. It is noted that recycling should be given priority because it the most complete solve the problem of minimizing environmental damage and maximize production of final products and investment in recycling projects are least risky at present. The peculiarities of the current state and trends of the waste management sector have been identified by analyzing statistical data. Recommendations of economic and legal support of waste management improving in Ukraine have been developed in the article.
