Теоретико-методологічною основою дослідження, результати якого наведені в даній статті, виступали праці вітчизняних і зарубіжних вчених, присвячених питанням розкриття сутності, класифікації, потенціалу лідерства. Лідерство у сфері менеджменту та веденні бізнесу має певні особливості в порівнянні з класичними підходами. Керівник не може покладатися на одні й ті ж самі лідерські вміння своїх менеджерів, якщо хоче, щоб його організація розвивалася, тому що вони змінюються. З цією метою, розкриваючи сутність поняття "лідер", основні теоретичні підходи визначення поняття "лідерство", класичні теоретичні підходи типології лідерства, автори, на запит багатьох бізнесменів м. Харкова, рекомендують конкретизувати лідерство у сфері менеджменту з метою подальшого дослідження, а саме – пізнання та виявлення лідерського потенціалу менеджерів, можливостей його оцінки, розвитку, забезпечуючи потреби сучасного бізнесу. Зроблено висновок, щодо актуальності та необхідності дослідження лідерського потенціалу саме менеджерів в сфері бізнесу з метою його оцінки, розвитку для додаткового включення в забезпечення ефективності управління сучасним підприємством та розвитку успішного бізнесу.In the article the main theoretical approaches of research of leadership potential of managers are considered. The general characteristic of leadership potential was formed, the main classical theoretical approaches of types of leadership were identified, and a modern approach to disclosing the essence of leadership potential from the position of management was presented. As a result, a conclusion was made about the relevance of the study of leadership potential of managers in the business sphere and the need for its development with the aim of including in the effectiveness of modern enterprise management and the development of a successful business. A manager can be successful in the event that he clearly understands his personal potential and potential of business partners, as well as the needs of the organization in different management styles. In the business environment, which is constantly changing, the manager can not rely on the same leadership skills of his managers, if he wants his organization to be successful, they change.
