dc.description.abstractThe article presents the history of the development of main oil pipelines in Ukraine, which is the largest transit country for gas and oil in Europe. The analysis of the installed capacities of the main oil pipelines of Ukraine and the capacities consumed by pumping stations of oil pumping stations is carried out. The above information shows the scale and relevance of the task of energy saving at the facilities of the main oil transportation in Ukraine. It has been determined that the reduction of energy costs is possible through the development and implementation of energy-saving systems for automatic control of oil pumping stations and ensuring maximum values of efficiency factors due to the optimal control of the frequency of their rotation. The analysis of regulatory literature aimed at ensuring the effective operation of oil transportation systems through main oil pipelines, namely: operation, management, repair of oil transportation systems and pumping installations installed at oil pumping stations. It is shown that the existing regulatory documentation does not cover the issues of ensuring maximum efficiency of pumping installations of main oil pipelines in various operating modes. Of all the existing regulatory documents, in fact, only one is aimed at determining the efficiency of pumping stations at oil pumping stations, while there are no recommendations for improving efficiency and maintaining it at the required level. Such important scientific and technical aspects of the problem, like the optimization of control processes for pumping installations of oil trunk pipelines according to direct criteria for minimizing energy losses, wasn’t explored. It was concluded that there is a necessity to create regulatory documentation for maximum energy efficiency of oil pumping stations, there is a necessity to perform a cycle of theoretical and experimental research, including mathematical modeling of physical phenomena in main oil pipelines, creating real-time algorithms for determining of pumping units under specified operating conditions.en
