dc.description.abstractIn this paper the problem of implementation of the developed method to improve the quality of mammograms visualization associated with edge effects in digital image processing are discussed. Compensation methods of edge effects that reduce distortion at the edges of the image as well as at the edge "mammary gland-background" are offered. Efficiency of the method is verified on several hundreds of real digital mammograms.en
