Abstract

The paper discusses the various theoretical approaches to the determination of the cutting force blade tool. Based on the condition of the maximum shear stress occurring in the conventional shear plane of the processed material, defined the tangential and radial components of the cutting force. It is shown that in the end they are reduced to a single decision, from which derive the basic conditions reduce cutting forces, was to reduce the difference between the conditional friction angle on the front surface of the tool and the tool rake angle. It is also shown that in the case of increasing the difference of these angles to a value equal to 90°, the cutting force increases without bound. This indicates a high power voltage of the grinding process, characterized by a significant negative rake angle of the cutting grains. It is established that during cutting edge tools, the tangential component of the cutting force greater than the radial component of the cutting force, when grinding, by contrast, is less.
