A pinch retrofit of the recuperative heat-exchange system of the unit is performed. It is shown that the implementation of the proposed project will reduce the arbitrary energy consumption by 60 %, which corresponds to a reduction in specific fuel consumption from 36 to 13 kg per ton of refined oil.
