Документ Benefits and challenges of implementing quality management system in a small IT company(Національний технічний університет "Харківський політехнічний інститут", 2023-11) Zenkov, Vitalii O.; Nashchekina, Olga N.Документ Business taxation: a transaction cost theory perspective(Національний юридичний університет ім. Ярослава Мудрого, 2018) Timoshenkov, Igor V.; Nashchekina, Olga N.In the paper, the relevance of using transaction cost theory for analysis of different aspects of business taxation is demonstrated. In particular, the transaction cost framework is used for explaining the economic essence of taxes and for analyzing transaction costs arising from the interaction between business and government in the tax sphere. The importance of measuring tax transaction cost is shown and methodological implications are discussed. The results of the Doing Business cross-country surveys related to the relative ease of paying taxes in different economies are analyzed and compared with data of the in-depth country-specific survey «The Costs of Tax Compliance in Ukraine». The relationship between the ease of paying taxes and country’s economic performances is established. Problems underlying the development of a congruent and efficient tax system, meeting the needs and priorities of a certain society are discussed.Документ Charge carrier mobility in semiconductor solid solutions and percolation phenomena(2017) Rogacheva, E. I.; Nashchekina, Olga N.; Martynova, E. V.The existence of a range of an anomalous growth in charge carrier mobility under the transition to heavy doping is established for Bi₂Te₃–Sb₂Te₃ solid solutions. This confirms our suggestion about the universal character of critical phenomena accompanying the transition from impurity discontinuum to impurity continuum. The experimental results are analyzed in terms of percolation theory taking into account alloy scattering and spatial correlations of impurity centers.Документ A comparative analysis of the concepts of sustainability and corporate social responsibility(Національний технічний університет "Харківський політехнічний інститут", 2022) Kadakia, S. S.New experimental data confirming our suggestion about the universal character of critical phenomena accompanying the transition from "an impurity gas" to "an impurity condensate" with impurity concentration increasing are presented. The existence of the range of anomalous growth in the charge carrier mobility under transition to heavy doping is established for PbTe–PbSe solid solutions. The experimental results are analyzed on the basis of percolation theory taking into account alloy scattering and spatial correlations of impurity centers.Документ Esg reporting metrics as key performance indicators for CSR management(Національний технічний університет "Харківський політехнічний інститут", 2022) Oduntan, M. The objective is to better understand the prices individuals actually face in Ukraine. The business legalization in Ukraine includes both the state registration and getting of local permits from local authorities. State registration is clearly defined and transparent with low levels of corruption. Unlike the state registration, the complex local permit system is non-transparent and conducive to corruption. The survey data show the opportunity costs of getting permits vary significantly across different owners.Документ Heat capacity and microhardness of the topological crystalline insulator Pb₁₋ₓSnₓTe near the band inversion composition(2017) Rogacheva, E. I.; Nashchekina, Olga N.; Nikolaenko, A.; Menshov, Yu.The goal of the present work is to reveal effects accompanying the band inversion in Pb₁₋ₓSnₓTe solid solutions by measuring heat capacity and microhardness. The objects of the study are Pb₁₋ₓSnₓTe alloys with Sn concentrations in the range of x = (0.59 – 0.68), near the composition corresponding to the transition to a gapless state close to room temperature. It was established that in the Pb₁₋ₓSnₓTe solid solutions, the transition to the bulk gapless state with the band inversion is manifested through the appearance of peaks in the dependences of specific heat and microhardness on composition at a fixed temperature.Документ How Good Are We at Estimating Barriers to Business? A Close Look at the Ukrainian Business Environment(The International Society for New Institutional Economics, 2006) Timoshenkov, Igor V.; Nashchekina, Olga N.Документ How much does social responsibility contribute to corporate reputation?(Національний технічний університет "Харківський політехнічний інститут", 2019) Nashchekina, Olga N.; Timoshenkov, Igor V.Документ The impact of financial technology on the transformation of the financial system(Харківський навчально-науковий інститут "Університет банківської справи", 2018) Shkodina, Iryna V.; Timoshenkov, Igor V.; Nashchekina, Olga N.Based on our analysis of trends and threats associated with the use of financial technology, we conclude that its implementation increases the complexity of the institutional structure of the financial system. Certain institutional factors earlier regarded by scholars as anomalies that had either none or an insignificant effect on the development of the financial system are now emerging. These factors are becoming increasingly fundamental, and are in fact transforming the financial system. As the result, the established functional relations fail, while new institutions and new interdependences emerge, which leads to certain unforeseen destabilizing consequences. The spontaneity of the process of systemic transformation determines human behavior, that is why it is not always possible to clearly anticipate the outcomes of such transformation. Financial innovations are more difficult to regulate because there are no formal rules established for most of them, and they themselves are so novel that they fall outside the control of regulatory authorities. We believe that in order to prevent potentially adverse effects, it is necessary to strengthen the cooperation between government agencies and financial technology companies for the purpose of developing formal rules and procedures for ensuring the reliability and the security of the financial sector. It is important to work towards increasing the degree of trust and to establish a culture of innovation which would help the participants of financial markets adapt to the rapidly changing financial environment.Документ Instrumental Approach to Corporate Social Responsibility(НТУ "ХПІ", 2018) Nashchekina, Olga N.; Timoshenkov, Igor V.The specificity of instrumental approach to corporate social responsibility is discussed. I.; Nashchekina, Olga N.; Olkhovskaya, S. I.; Sipatov, A. Yu.; Dresselhaus, M. S.It is established that the room-temperature dependences of transport properties on the total thickness of PbSe layers d in PbSe/EuS superlattices exhibit an oscillatory behavior. It is shown that the oscillation period Δd practically coincides with the period of the thickness oscillations observed earlier in single PbSe/EuS quantum well. The non-monotonic character of these dependences is attributed to quantum size effects. The theoretically estimated and experimentally determined Δd values are in good agreement.Документ Size effects in thin PbSe films(Institute of Thermoelectricity, 2012) Rogacheva, E. I.; Nashchekina, Olga N.; Olkhovskaya, S. I.; Dresselhaus, M. S.The objects of the study are thin PbSe films with thicknesses d in the range of d = 5.5 – 410 nm, grown by thermal evaporation in vacuum of stoichiometric p-PbSe crystals on KCl substrates and covered with a EuSe layer. The room-temperature d-dependences of the Seebeck coefficient, Hall coefficient, electrical conductivity, charge carrier mobility, thermoelectric power factor are obtained. When d increases to ~ 20 nm, an inversion of the conductivity sign from p to n is observed. In the d-dependences of the transport properties one can isolate a monotonic and oscillatory components, whose presence is attributed to the manifestation of classical and quantum size effects, respectively. The oscillation periods Δd for electronic and hole gases are determined. Theoretically calculated Δd, assuming a size quantization of the electronic and hole spectra, and our estimate of the monotonic component of the electrical conductivity, using the Fuchs-Sondheimer theory, are in good agreement with the experimental data.
