З 1961 р. у ХПІ видається збірник наукових праць "Вісник Харківського політехнічного інституту".
Згідно до наказу ректора № 158-1 від 07.05.2001 року "Про упорядкування видання вісника НТУ "ХПІ", збірник був перейменований у Вісник Національного Технічного Університету "ХПІ".
Вісник Національного технічного університету "Харківський політехнічний інститут" включено до переліку спеціалізованих видань ВАК України і виходить по серіях, що відображають наукові напрямки діяльності вчених університету та потенційних здобувачів вчених ступенів та звань.
Зараз налічується 30 діючих тематичних редколегій. Вісник друкує статті як співробітників НТУ "ХПІ", так і статті авторів інших наукових закладів України та зарубіжжя, які представлені у даному розділі.

    Temporal processes alignment method for complicated systems

    The presented work researches a possibility to compose temporal processes to reduce complicated system operation expenditures. It is established, that temporal processes are classified into three categories in view of their influence on a system’s functional state. They are single (1), repeating (2) and cyclic (3). It is also established, that presence of large number of temporal processes within a system requires an individual approach to their control. Temporal processes alignment method is developed consisting of six fundamental provisions: 1) with none additional restrictions the attraction point falls within the time interval of either of temporal processes; 2) temporal processes’ shifting does not involve additional expenditures if it does not generate extra temporal process within the time interval under review; 3) with increased system’s stoppage costs the attraction points tend to areas of the system’s forced stoppage and increase noticeably their attracting features; 4) attraction area is determined by an area where all the not repeating temporal processes are located; 5) in the course of alignment of temporal processes involving reduction of the number of system’s stoppages there is always a limit expenditures value justifying such an alignment; 6) alignment of temporal processes running within relative attraction zone may be implemented providing meeting the conditions. These provisions construe a basis to take a decision about possibility and feasibility of their alignment. It is identified, that one of essential parameters of the processes’ alignment is a choice of a proper time for their alignment. An algorithm is offered based on the developed method enabling to implement temporal processes alignment procedure depending on data processing systems’ resources to reduce substantially chance of error in adopting a decision in complicated systems’ management.

    Basic value of complex systems

    The nature of the basic value is investigated in the following article. Particular attention is paid to the value’s development in the initial stages of the system’s emergence. As a result of the research it was revealed that the basic value, as an indicator, allows to inspect the state of the system at various stages of its life cycle. The author analyzes the approaches to process research of the basic value formati on of the scientists in technical and economic fields. Studies have shown that considering given problem through the prism of target management one can get organizational forms that have large production potential. At the same time the obtained forms have the property of combining technical and social systems being in a stable state. The basic value of such complex systems is to be based on its internal needs. The basic value of the socio-technical system was based on a certain state function the increment of which in any process performed by the system in a closed environment is equal to the sum of the effects on the system through resources leading it to the transition from the initial state to the final one. Determining the basic value a number of difficulties were also noted one of which is an increase of the error of the parameters defining the location of the system when it is at the stability limit. The basic value is investigated as the primary component of the new socio-technical system as well as the nature of the transition processes of the system in accordance to the use of internal and external resources. It is determined that internal and external resources determine the potential of the system and the possible dynamics of its development. One of the methods for measuring the basic value of the system is defined, in which the isolated system changes its state through resource exchange. One of the conclusions shows that the basic value does not depend on the choice of the previous state but depends on the resources that tranport it into this state.
