Abstract

The article considers topical issues of subjective causes prevention of dangerous industrial situations and accidents in order to prevent occupational injuries at industrial enterprises. Analysis of industrial accidents shows that the main causes of occupational injuries and diseases are violations of labor and technological discipline, low level of training, incompetence in safety, ignorance of man-made hazards and methods of protection against them, difficult professional conditions, psychological problems and physiological stress of the employee, chronic fatigue, conflict situations, etc., i.e. the human factor in many cases is the main cause of negative consequences. Occupational injuries are the result of shortcomings and omissions in the work of managers and occupational safety specialists, insufficient attention to the subjective causes of professional behavior of employees, the imperfection of occupational safety management at enterprises. In this regard, the question about new and modern approaches to injury prevention at industrial enterprises in the management system of labor protection policy of an enterprise arises. The authors analyze the basics of subjective causes of occupational injuries and identify promising areas of occupational injuries prevention at enterprises with further detailed improvement of the process of occupational safety management at these enterprises. Existing methods of analysis of occupational injuries, indicators of its level do not provide complete information about the real causes of injuries, the state and dynamics of changes in hazardous production factors, as well as psycho-physiological and socio-psychological factors that are the basis of subjective causes of occupational injuries. The complexity of modern production and increasing the reliability of labor resources requires a more comprehensive approach to optimizing the labor protection system and creating. Labor management reduces the number of accidents at work, occupational diseases, as well as increases the motivation of employees to work and increase productivity, which in general has a positive effect on other economic indicators.
