Abstract
Corrosion-electrochemical behavior of stainless steel AISI 316 coated with titanium nitride in chloride solutions was studied. The electrode potential’s chronograms represent the immune state of electrochemical system components. The difference between coating and substrate potentials causes the galvanic couple appearance following by selective destruction of the coating layer in AISI 316 I TiN system.
