Abstract

The article analyzes the hypothesis of the origin and ethno-cultural development of Scythian time Dnipro Left bank forest-steppe tribes. The most critical moments that have caused differences in the views of researchers are identified. Based on an integrated analysis of the pottery tradition, the idea of relative stability on the ethnic composition of the population with a common genetic basis is proposed. This population has experienced cultural influences of other traditions during the Scythian period.
