Abstract
The main stages of medical radiological image processing were analyzed. The Canny algorithm and the results of its application to real data were considered. A mammogram visualization method based on layered image superimposition was proposed to improve detection of the pathological structures. The developed method was tested on real mammograms, the results were analyzed and further research prospects were proposed.
