Внесок учених Києва та Харкова у формування теоретичних основ обчислювальної техніки в Україні: друга половина ХХ ст.

Abstract

Дисертація на здобуття ступеня доктора філософії (PhD) за спеціальністю 032 – Історія та археологія (Галузь знань 03 – Гуманітарні науки). – Національний технічний університет «Харківський політехнічний інститут», Харків, 2026. У другій половині ХХ ст. Україна не тільки приєдналася до світового науково-технічного прогресу, але й стала його важливим учасником, заклавши міцну основу для розвитку сучасної інформатики та обчислювальної техніки. У дослідженні демонструється, що статус України як одного зі світових центрів IT-індустрії базується на науково-технічній самодостатності київської та харківської наукових шкіл. Ці школи, попри виклики періоду «холодної війни» та ідеологічний тиск, зробили визначальний внесок у створення унікальних цифрових технологій. Актуальність даного дослідження зумовлена необхідністю осмислення закономірностей становлення теоретичних основ обчислювальної техніки у другій половині ХХ ст. із фокусом на роль учених Києва та Харкова. Це є важливим для глибшого розуміння сучасних проблем і перспектив, перед якими постає Україна у сфері науки і технологій. Аналіз діяльності київської та харківської наукових шкіл сприяє відновленню історичної справедливості та посиленню статусу української науки на міжнародній арені. Вивчення технологічної самодостатності цих шкіл набуває особливого значення в сучасному контексті, коли питання цифрового суверенітету України стає дедалі актуальнішим через посилення глобальних кіберзагроз. На тлі сучасної військової агресії з боку Російської Федерації ця тема набуває стратегічної ваги, адже вона допомагає відновлювати історичну правду та спростовувати хибні уявлення про технологічне лідерство агресора, часто побудоване за рахунок використання українських інновацій. Метою роботи є комплексний історико-науковий аналіз формування та розвитку теоретичних основ обчислювальної техніки в Україні у другій половині XX ст., а також визначення внеску вчених академічних установ та ЗВО Києва та Харкова у світовий контекст розвитку інформаційних технологій.

The thesis is submitted to obtain a scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy, specialty 032 – History and archaeology. – National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, Kharkiv, 2026. In the second half of the 20th century, Ukraine not only joined the global scientific and technological progress but also became an important contributor to it, laying a solid foundation for the development of modern computer science and computing technology. The study demonstrates that Ukraine’s status as one of the world’s centers of the IT industry is based on the scientific and technological self-sufficiency of the Kyiv and Kharkiv scientific schools. These schools, despite the challenges of the Cold War era and ideological pressure, made a defining contribution to the creation of unique digital technologies. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to understand the patterns of the formation of the theoretical foundations of computing technology in the second half of the 20th century, with a focus on the role of scientists from Kyiv and Kharkiv. This is important for a deeper understanding of the current problems and prospects facing Ukraine in the field of science and technology. Analysis of the activities of the Kyiv and Kharkiv scientific schools contributes to restoring historical justice and strengthening the status of Ukrainian science in the international arena. The study of the technological self-sufficiency of these schools takes on special significance in the current context, as the question of Ukraine’s digital sovereignty becomes increasingly pressing due to the escalation of global cyber threats. Against the backdrop of the ongoing military aggression by the Russian Federation, this topic acquires strategic importance, as it helps restore historical truth and refute misconceptions about the technological leadership of the aggressor, which was often built at the expense of Ukrainian innovations. The aim of the study is a comprehensive historical and scientific analysis of the formation and development of the theoretical foundations of computing technology in Ukraine in the second half of the 20th century, as well as determining the contribution of scientists from academic institutions and higher education institutions of Kyiv and Kharkiv to the global context of information technology development.
