Abstract

The article deals with issues related to the estimated capacity of the single-track railway lines with double-track inserts in conditions of accelerated movement of passenger trains depending on the length of the block areas. The result of the study is: chart of dependence of potential capacity for freight traffic considering accelerated passenger trains and different length of block areas; approximation of shot coefficients of freight trains by passenger trains depending on the speed of the last and different length of block areas.
