Abstract

Experience gained from designing and testing for maneuverability of saddle automobile trains proved that in case of a train with semitrailer base length over 10 m calculations for turn band dimensions at 90° and 180° turns must be supplemented with kinematic analysis with the aim of checking if the semitrailer boggy inner wheels can stop their rotation in the course of turn as well as with the aim of calculating the rate of transverse sliding.
