Recent events in the world show how the process of digitalization in education has become global. From international experience, some countries, regions and organisations have established or are in the process of establishing a maturity model or framework for digitalisation in education as a way to consolidate the progress of digitalisation in education and promote the sustainability of practices. The article discusses the process of digitalization of education in modern China. This is reflected in all components of the educational process. The authors offer its socio-philosophical analysis in order to identify and analyze the central problem of this process in the conditions of modern Chinese society – the problem of conflict, integration and coordinated development of the old and new education systems. The article also highlights and describes issues such as the digital divide, digital poverty, digital refugees, the problem of conflict between people and technology, etc. The authors review digital readiness initiatives (i.e., in preparation for the full launch of the digital transformation path in education in order to fulfill the basic conditions for transformational change). The author emphasizes that the design of many educational technologies was focused on the goals of education and included a sufficient number of educational concepts and elements. However, if teachers blindly adhere to the traditional concept of “technology is only a tool”, then this creates a sense of superiority of their own status and a narrow understanding of the value of technology. The author relies in his research on the latest achievements in the field of not only high technologies that are used in education, but also on psychological and social research on the impact of the latter both on education and on a person. The author proposes to perceive technologies in the context of a new culture, and shows possible ways of their more adequate use. Working with artificial technological objects is not only the acceptance of an artificial object, but also the adoption of a technical culture, which indicates a new cultural relationship between people and technology, and vice versa. On the basis of analyzing the phenomenon and essence of contemporary information technology, the author of this article tries to find out the problems existing in the application of contemporary information technology in education through a questionnaire survey, and reflects on the influence of technology on teachers and students in the education system. The answers of the survey participants made it possible to present a picture of the use of information technologies in education as a holistic and complex process. The analysis of the results obtained, as well as everyday practical training in the skills of using high technologies, enabled the author to establish that the influence of information technologies on education is complex, this is a new stage in the development of education as a whole, which allows us to characterize the process of their use as a holistic system. The influence of technology has completely changed all structures and all participants in education. This essay is dedicated to one of the most relevant issues in contemporary philosophy: the methodology by which technology is reshaping educational spaces and educational models. The research adopts the method of philosophical speculation, starting from conceptual analysis, tracing the development of distance education and its technological evolution, and examining the educational process of technology from the source. The results of the study show that with the emergence of concepts such as digital campus, smart campus, digital twin campus, and metaverse school, the educational space is changing to the metaverse. The transformation triggered by science and technology covers both individuals and society, not only referring to the specific content or form of people's understanding and thinking, but also the depth and complexity of the thinking world of the entire society. In order to adapt to the changing situation, higher education institutions are establishing new curriculum models.
