Abstract

The intensity of conduction, which is a mode of heat transfer innate to solid bodies, is determined by the temperature gradient and the value of the thermal conductivity. The latter is a thermophysical characteristic of the substance, which in the general case depends on temperature and is usually found experimentally. The goal of the laboratory work is deepening knowledge of the theory of thermal conduction, obtaining the skills of carrying out experimental work to determine the thermal conductivity of materials. It is an important part of training of students regarding heat engineering.
