dc.description.abstractThe wear of ejector components during abrasive particle transport poses a significant challenge across various industries. Enhancing the reliability and longevity of equipment for handling solid abrasive media can be achieved through the application of jet pumps and ejectors. Special focus should be given to vortex chamber ejectors (VCE), whose performance can be improved by minimizing bulk media losses in the drainage channel with a slotted intake nozzle. Numerical simulations using computational fluid dynamics were conducted to study particle behavior and identify factors influencing losses. The findings validate the slotted nozzle’s effectiveness in boosting VCE efficiency, recommending further research on turbulence effects.
