Температурні залежності термоелектричних властивостей твердих розчинів PbTe–SnTe

Abstract

Досліджено температурні залежності (300-650 К) електропровідності σ та теплопровідності λ нелегованих стехіометричних твердих розчинів PbTe–SnTe (0–60 мол.% SnTe). З'ясовано, що у разі підвищення температури σ знижується, а температурні залежності λ мають вигляд кривих з мінімумом. Визначено внески у загальну теплопровідність λ електронної, ґраткової, фотонної та біполярної складових. Встановлено, що введення в PbTe 10-15 мол.% SnTe призводить до зниження λ майже удвічі при усіх температурах. Оцінено термоелектричну добротність.

The temperature dependences of thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity of PbTe–SnTe non-doped stoichiometric solid solutions with various compositions (0-60 mol. % SnTe) were studied in the temperature range 300-650 К. It was established that the electrical conductivity decreases with increasing temperature and the temperature dependences of the total thermal conductivity represent curves with a minimum. The contributions of electron, lattice, photon and bipolar components to the total thermal conductivity were separated. The isotherms of the electrical conductivity, total thermal conductivity and its components were plotted on the basis of the temperature dependences. It was showed that the introduction of SnTe up to ~ 10-15 mol.% leads to a ~ 2 time decrease in λ at all temperatures. The thermoelectric efficiency evaluation is conducted.
