Methodological instructions for the calculation task in the discipline "Theory of electric drive"

Abstract

The calculation assignment is carried out within the framework of studying the discipline «Theory of electric drive», paying main attention to topics related to methods of load equivalence, load diagrams, energy losses in the electric motor, and its heating using the example of the electric drive of a horizontal movement or lifting mechanism. The purpose is to describe the calculations of the electric motor power in single-zone speed control with constant magnetic flux in repeated short-time operating modes of the electric motor, in order for students to acquire skills in designing an electric drive. The tasks considered are: calculation of forces and corresponding torque on the shaft of wheels or drum; preliminary calculation of the electric motor power; calculation of torque on the electric motor shaft and currents of its armature.
