Abstract

In the article author considers the scientific methods and principles of validity required for carrying out the studies folklore material (on example of the analysis of the mythological image "Povitryli"). In this case the main attention is conducted to a problem of carrying out clear checks and results of the studies since unauthentic information distorts the field to exploratory activity and has an aptitude in its volume.
