Abstract

The paper shows that the human need for health is biologically determined need, which is satisfied in the social environment through various forms of physical culture. Deduced that the main social function of physical education is to ensure physical health. It manifests itself as a reflection of a fundamental principle, which states that the whole social system of physical training has a wellness focus.
