Abstract
The analytic representation for the amplitude characteristics of the nonlinear second harmonic of horizontally
polarized bulk shear waves is obtained in transversely isotropic elastic medium. With the use of heuristic
principle of generalization in the fuzzy sets theory a fuzzy evaluation of the amplitude levels of nonlinear
anharmonic perturbations is constructed on the assumption that the approximate experimental values for the
elastic modules of the second and third order for the medium describes the normal trapezoidal fuzzy intervals.
