Abstract

This article contains the formula for calculating the surface area of crushed material using the concepts of fractal geometry. The process of destruction examined from the perspective of the evolution of the interfaces of the individual structural elements and the subsequent development of cracks on these surfaces. Nucleation and propagation of cracks is described from the perspective of fractal geometry as the formation of a fractional-dimensional layer.
