Abstract
The paper presents an analysis of the resources recovered during the repair of machine parts. The results of wear comparative tests of reducing coatings applied by gas-flame method are presented. The possibility of increasing the durability of machine parts in the process of repair by applying gas-flame coatings of composite materials. It is shown that self-propagating hightemperature synthesis (SHS) is one of the more effective energy-saving methods for producing composite materials. The most widespread compositions of composite materials based on titanium, as the reaction of formation of carbides and borides of titanium are with a high exothermic effect, which allows you to use as a matrix material of various metals and alloys. Titanium powders of VT1-0 grade, boron B grade, carbon PM-15 grade and aluminum and silicon oxides were used as starting materials for the preparation of the composite material in order to synthesize titanium carbide and diboride. In addition, to increase the thermal effect in the synthesis of titanium carbide and diboride in the mechanical mixture introduced thermosetting powder aluminide Nickel PT-NA-01, aluminum powder (powder) PAP-1 and iron oxide Fe₂O₃. Self-fluxing alloy PG-10N-01 was used as a matrix material. The results of tests for abrasive wear, which showed a higher wear resistance (1.6 times) than the proposed composite material in comparison with the self-fluxing alloy PG-10N-01.
