Протестантські церкви в суспільно-політичному житті українського суспільства

Abstract

The article analyzed the current activities of Protestant religious organizations in Ukraine. The aim of the article is determination of the level of activity of Protestants in public and political life of the Ukrainian society, their territorial location and activities. The author used the following research methods: analysis method, sociological method, the method of comparison and historical. In particular, the author gives a survey about the number of adherents of different religious movements in the state. The historical method allowed the author to define the features of functioning of Protestant churches in Ukraine since the end of last century to the present. In turn, the author using the method of comparison followed changes in the number of religious organizations and their geographical location. The main conclusion is empirically proven facts of increasing the activity of Protestant religious organizations in Ukraine since the beginning of the XXI century, as well as politicization of the activity of churches.
