Abstract

The problem of comparing the operational capabilities of the tool materials and cutting inserts of them is considered. Taken into account the extended system of working capacity criteria include the speed of volumetric removable, tool life, cutting work path, area of processed surface, volumetric removal. The systematic analytical model is proposed, and the calculation is made for the superhard composites in conventional disposable cutting inserts based on cubic boron nitride.
