Abstract

The aim of the work is to ground the possibility of linear motor utilization in switches, and to consider the method of its traction characteristic calculation. This design simplifies the installation and the maintenance of switches. The proposed calculation provides the necessary drive parameters to optimize the design of the engine for different types of switches and operating conditions. The given approach is the next step in the development of the theory of railway automation actuators.
