dc.description.abstractMicro-arc oxidation (MAO) is an advanced surface treatment method that forms a durable oxide layer on metals, notably aluminum and titanium alloys. This process improves corrosion and wear resistance, increases hardness, and enhances aesthetic appeal. The environmentally friendly nature of MAO also positions it as a sustainable alternative in modern manufacturing.
