Abstract
The features of plasma streams are considered which influence the wear of working surface of electric contacts. On the basis of analysis of different factors, determining the origin of streams of plasma and its further conduct, it is possible to define the mechanism of wear of working surface of contacts of electric vehicles of commutations and accordingly, to choose composition of electric contacts
