Abstract
Principle of determination of self-induction electromotive force magnitude and behavior in an AC machine three-phase stator is described. The problem is solved with instantaneous magnetic linkage values obtained by means of numerical computation of the stator magnetic field. This approach is recommended as an alternative to nonproductive and nondeterministic armature-reaction electromotive force evaluation adopted in the classical theory of electric machine
