Abstract

This paper present's data on the repression of scientists in the USSR. From this study, it can be concluded that repression of scientists has the effect on the development of science and technology in the USSR. Some conclusions are made of falsification of court cases. Finally different problems are reported concerning various books on the subject of metallurgy primarily that of foundry work, written by Derechinsky. Data on rehabilitation of the outstanding scientist and teacher are given. Archival data indicate the complete innocence of engineer Derechinsky. The absur dity of arrest not only of the scientist, but also of his wife – the doctor of the therapist is proved. The troubles of the scientist's wife in his rehabilitation are shown. The article describes the complete absence of evidence in the indictment of the scientist and teacher.
