Environmental assessment and minimisation of impact on the environment of urban nature protection complexes

Abstract

The intensive development of science has given impetus to the activation of urbanisation processes. This process is characterised by the rapid growth of the urban population, the expansion of cities and the formation of a suburban zone for economic activity. In turn, this has had positive and negative consequences by increasing the number of cars and public transport units, consuming resources and taking over territories. At the moment, one of the most important problems of urban ecosystems is the growing problem of solid household waste (SHW) management. Every year, the number of illegal waste dumps in urban systems increases, while the area of centralized landfills increases. This situation is unacceptable and needs to be investigated and addressed.
