Abstract
The article has theoretical nature. It deals with the essence of economic categories "effect" and "efficiency" and the general ways description of efficiency increase at the railway transport. .The conclusion regarding essense has been made and analyzed. The essence decomposition of "efficiency" has been explained with the help of denotant graph modern method.
