Меценатська діяльність Христини Данилівни Алчевської (1843–1920)

Abstract

У статті розглянуто життя та просвітницьку діяльність відомого педагога Христини Данилівни Алчевської. Проведено аналіз історико-громадських чинників, які сформували її світогляд. Досліджено меценатську складову її діяльності у сфері освіти, видавничої справи, участь у благодійних товариствах Харкова. Виявлено її внесок у розвиток освіти та культури Наддніпрянської України у другій половині ХІХ – на початку ХХ ст.The article examines the charitable activities in education, publishing, participation in charitable societies of Kharkov, a famous teacher Christina Danilovna Alchevska. The aim of this work, based on the epistolary heritage of Christina, analyzed the contribution of charitable activities of Christina Alchevska on the development of education and culture in Kharkov province in the second half of XIX – early XX century. As a result was analysed of the historical and social factors that have shaped her worldview and helped to define the purpose of her life to teach more women literacy and attach to the historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine. Based on the memoirs and archival documents to determine the scale of charitable activities of Christina Alchevska.
