Abstract

One of the effective techniques in order to dampen the vibrations during the finishing of thin-walled elements of the parts is the use of dampening medium. This article describes a methodology for the measurement and assessment of the impact of dampening media on improving of the machining conditions of thin-walled parts (plates). Device "blade-to-blade element" which simulates a part of the monowheel with blades has been developed. It allows us to investigate the influence of different media on the static and dynamic characteristics of an elastic system (ES) of thin-plate (simulating a blade) during processing.
