Документ Prospects for application of phytopreparations in the complex treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus(PC Тесhnology сеntеr, 2021) Rybak, Viktoria; Maloshtan, Ludmila; Korol, VictoriaDiabetes mellitus (DM) occupies an important place in the structure of mortality, as well as among the causes of disability and deterioration in the quality of life of the population. In this regard, the study of phytopreparations is promising for practical medicine in order to identify new medicinal plants that actively affect metabolic processes to prevent complications of DM, and create new phytopreparations. That drugs could enhance the effect of sulfonamides and potentiate the effect of insulin, thereby reducing the dose of the latter, and it is important for long-term chronic diseases, such as DM. The aim. To study the prospects for the use of phytopreparations in the complex treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Materials and methods. The analytical, logical, generalization methods were used in the work. The analytical method of the study involved deepening the search for phytopreparations and the prospects for their use in the complex treat-ment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and generalization of the data obtained. The logical method of exploratory research of promising phytopreparations was applied in a certain logical sequence, as a result of which the specificity, stage-by-stage and generalization of the relevance of the use of phytopreparations in the complex treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus was provided for scientific research. The generalizing research method was to determine and prove the characteristics of phytopreparations (analysis and synthesis) and their advantages over synthetic drugs. Results and discussion. The main directions of herbal medicine for DM are associated with reproduction of the effects of insulin, normalization of glucose uptake, stimulation of regeneration of β-cells of the Langerhans islets, elimination of excess glucose from the body – phytopreparations with diuretic properties; elimination of hypoxia – phytopreparations-antihypoxants. In DM, herbal medicine will reduce the frequency of side effects in classical antidiabetic therapy. For any type of diabetes, herbal medicine is prescribed to patients as an improvement in the microcirculation of tissues, normalization of the functions of the cardiovascular and nervous systems, kidneys and eyes. Conclusions. Despite a wide range of drugs used to correct the hemodynamic and metabolic manifestations of the insulin resistance syndrome, they do not fully meet the needs of practical medicine due to the presence of pronounced side effects. In addition, the pharmaceutical market of herbal medicines is very limited and represented mainly by species of medicinal plants, which have certain inconveniences in their use. All this indicates the relevance of the search, creation and introduction of effective and, at the same time, low-toxic drugs based on the medicinal plant raw material into medical practice for the pharmacotherapy of type 2 diabetes and its complications.Документ Study of pharmacological activity of dry extract of Sakhalin willow shoots against the background of experimental thrombophlebitis(РС тесhnology сеntеr, 2023) Maloshtan, Ludmila; Artemova, Kateryna; Borodina, Nataliia; Kukhtenko, OleksandrThe objective of the research was to study the pharmacological activity of dry extract of Sakhalin willow shoots – DEWS against the background of experimental thrombophlebitis. Materials and methods. Dry extract of Sakhalin willow shoots (DEWS) was the object matter of the present research and served as a therapeutic and prophylactic agent. In the experiment conducted, rabbits weighing 2.0–2.5 kg were used. The animals were divided into three groups. Group 1 was a control group; group 2 were animals that had been intragastrically injected with DEWS at a dose of 30 mg/kg prior to modelling thrombophlebitis; group 3 similarly received Eskuvit 20 mg/kg as a reference drug – pills (JSC Halychpharm, Ukraine). The dose for animals was recalculated, taking into account body weight according to the Rybolovlev method. Experimental thrombophlebitis was caused by injecting an intravenous solution of 2 % lugol at a dose of 0.1 ml into the marginal vein of the ear. Statistical data processing was carried out using the Statistica for Windows 11.0 program based on variance analysis for repeated measurement data using the Mann-Whitney criteria at a probability level of p<0.05. Results. Against the background of the development of experimental thrombophlebitis in rabbits, the development of thrombosis of the ear vein and the inflammatory process of adjacent tissues were observed. The inflammatory process was accompanied by pronounced hyperemia and oedema. Prophylactic administration of DEWS for 6 days contributed to a decrease in the inflammatory process already on the 5th day of observation. The area of the injured area was 20 % smaller than in the control pathology group. The therapeutic and prophylactic effect of herbal medicine can be explained by the content of flavonoids and salicylates in its composition. Eskuvit showed a less pronounced thrombolytic effect in terms of its influence on thrombosis and thrombolysis. Conclusions. The administration of DEWS in the therapeutic and prophylactic regimen at a dose of 30 mg/kg has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, thrombolytic and venoprotective effect in experimental peripheral venous thrombophlebitis in rabbits. The results of the studies obtained allow us to recommend DEWS as a promising venoprotective agent with thrombolytic activity.Документ Propolis oil extract: qualitative and quantitative aspects(Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, 2023) Yudina, Yulia; Hrubnyk, Ihor; Maloshtan, Ludmila; Velikiy, Dmytro; Ohanesian, Iryna; Bevz, Nataliia; Artushenko, OleksandrIn this work, we studied the extraction of propolis with oils. For the experiment, we used propolis samples collected in different regions of Ukraine (Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kyiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions) and determined their compliance with DSTU 4662:2006 "Propolis". All the samples we collected met the requirements of this standard, and a combined batch of propolis was used to obtain oil extracts. The most common vegetable oils (corn, sunflower, and olive oils) were chosen as extragents, and their quality was confirmed. The technological approach to obtaining oil extracts was based on the data of previous studies; the extraction was carried out at 60C and constant stirring for 1 hour. The obtained oil extracts of propolis were evaluated by appearance, acid and peroxide numbers, density, identification and quantification of phenolic substances. Presence of substances of phenolic and flavonoid structure was confirmed by specific reactions. As a result of the quantitative determination of the TPC in the obtained extracts it was established that the total phenolic content (TPC) in the studied oil extracts is about 4.95±0.15 %, which corresponds to the quantitative content of these biologically active substances in the propolis substance (not less than 25.0 %).Документ Research of medical treatment influence of "Melanizol" suppositories on background of "mechanical" vaginitis in rats(РС тесhnology сеntеr, 2020) Dolzhykova, Olena; Maloshtan, LudmilaTo study the therapeutic effect of new vaginal suppositories “Melanizol” based on metronidazole and tea tree oil on a model of “mechanical” vaginitis in female rats. Methods. The therapeutic effect of suppositories of “Melanizol” has been studied in female rats on the model of “mechanical” vaginitis, which is a secondary insemination of vaginal. On the background of vaginitis the general condition of the animals, the dynamics of body weight, the morphological composition of peripheral blood, the rate of erythrocyte sedimentation, changes in pH and temperature in the vagina were examined, and macroscopic evaluation of vaginal mucosa was evaluated. Results. The results of studies show that, on the background of pathology, there were shifts that were manifested by a clear swelling of the tissues around the vagina, a decrease in body weight, a shift in the pH to the alkaline side, an increase in the temperature in the vagina, leukocytosis, a shift of the leukocyte formula toward an increase in the number of neutrophils, increasing the erythrocyte sedimentation rate. In the vaginal mucosa were observed lesions, manifested by edema, hyperemia, and numerous hemorrhages. Under conditions of treatment with suppositories «Melanizol» a reliable restoration of the pH and decrease in the temperature of the vagina of animals, a decrease in the rate of sedimentation of erythrocytes, the total number of leukocytes and the restoration of the level of neutrophils to indicators of the group of intact animals were observed. Macroscopic studies of the vaginal mucosa showed a therapeutic effect of vaginal suppositories «Melanizol», it was manifested by a significant reduction in the area of the affected area of the vagina and its manifestations. The effectiveness of the suppositories of «Melanizol» significantly surpassed the comparison drug of “Gravagin” and were practically of the same efficiency as the reference drug “Hippophaes oleum suppositories”. Conclusions. The therapeutic effect of new vaginal suppositories of “Melanizol” based on metronidazole and tea tree oil on the model of “mechanical” vaginitis in female rats has been proved. Studied suppositories “Melanizol” is a perspective drug for the treatment of non-specific vaginitis caused by mechanical irritants and need further research in this direction.
