Abstract

The article analyzes the peculiarities of professional activity of a teacher in the conditions of a transforming society. Reviewed professionally important qualities of a teacher, which are divided into groups: professionalism, motivational and strong-willed, communicative, personal qualities. Identify the basic requirements for the teacher, which include: constant updating of the content of teaching students in accordance with scientific and technological progress, the development of students ' information competencies and skills system, critical thinking, ability to motivate and interest, to apply an individual approach and contribute to the personal development of the student. Pedagogical leadership combines all the best qualities and necessary requirements to the teacher of the high school, so the development of leadership qualities of the teacher are important ways of its improvement.
