Abstract

The article concludes that any enterprise as a socio-economic system is provided by marketing activity only, and marketing is to be regarded as philosophy of business; the classification of contradiction is supplemented, the concept of development process taking into consideration marketing activity effect has been reviewed. There has also been supplemented the development classification of an industrial enterprise with the following features: orientation (at both outer environment inner environment), essence or context (of economic and social), obviousness (open or latent development); the kinds of development have been connected with general strategies and stages of industrial enterprise existence.
