О проективности художественного произведения (на материале заметок И. Е. Репина и А. М. Горького о Л. Н. Толстом)

Abstract

The article examines the elements of the projectivity of literary texts based on notes by I. Repin and M. Gorky about L. N. Tolstoy. Following M. N. Pravdin, the projectivity of a work is defined as the similarity of the effect of the represented one and the representation in the mind of the perceiver at the level of a specific image. The transition of the perceiver from the text to reality, carried out at the level of some awareness, understanding, that is at the level of abstract connections between images, is characteristic of conceptual texts. The same principles of reflection of reality in the text (in the broad sense) can be highlighted in the perception of verbal texts, however in this case projectivity and conceptuality appear as a result of the secondary differentiation of these two principles, which is carried out on the background of the conceptual reflection of reality by verbal text. The author identifies such units of text, that determine its projectivity, as the ability to occupy a specific place in space and time, structure and specific appearance, as well as expressiveness, expressiveness of the author’s self, documentalism, small text size, short sentences, rhythm, intonation and repetition features.
