Abstract

The article reveals the problem of forming of leadership qualities in older adolescence, the necessity of the development of these qualities in this period. Theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of leadership in domestic and foreign literature, in particular, the perceptions of leadership within the framework of such approaches as procedural, systemic, activitybased and synthetic. Representatives of the systemic approach believed that the analysis of leadership must be based on consideration of three main components: the characteristics of leaders, characteristics of followers and the characteristics of the situations. Under the procedural approach, the personality of a leader is an object of identification of group members with those qualities that are valued by them as absent. According to the synthetic approach leadership interactionists is a phenomenon that occurs during the formation of the group. Accented that the problem of forming of leadership qualities is a challenge, as evidenced by the implementation in the educational process of UNIVERSITIES of Ukraine such international projects as "ELITE", "Tempus", etc. Found that student period is sensitive for the formation of the leadership potential of the individual young person. So, in order to become a leader among the students need to take to address issues that are both important and difficult for students (defense of the project, the relationship with the teacher etc.). Therefore, it is clear that the leader of the group cannot arise and function without the support of its members, recognizing his outstanding qualities and abilities.
